Article 1 (Personal Information)
'Personal information' refers to 'personal information' as defined in the Act on the Protection of Personal Information, which means information about a living individual that can identify a specific individual by name, date of birth, address, telephone number, contact information, or other descriptions contained in the information, as well as data related to appearance, fingerprints, and voiceprints, and information that can identify a specific individual from such information alone, such as insurance subscriber numbers on health insurance cards (personal identification information).
Article 2 (Collection of Personal Information)
The Company may ask for personal information such as name, date of birth, address, telephone number, email address, bank account number, and credit card number when Users register to use this Service. The Company may also collect transaction records and payment information containing Users' personal information made between Users and affiliates from the Company's affiliates (including information providers, advertisers, advertising distributors, etc., hereinafter referred to as 'Affiliates').
Article 3 (Purpose of Collection and Use of Personal Information)
The purposes for which the Company collects and uses personal information are as follows: (1) To provide and operate the Company's services; (2) To respond to inquiries from Users (including confirmation of inquiry contents); (3) To send emails about new features, updates, campaigns, etc. of the service being used by Users, and to provide information about other services offered by the Company; (4) To contact Users as necessary for maintenance, important notices, etc.; (5) To identify Users who violate the Terms of Use or who attempt to use the service for improper or unfair purposes, and to refuse their use; (6) To allow Users to view, change, delete their registered information, and view their usage status; (7) To charge Users for usage fees in paid services; (8) Purposes incidental to the above purposes.
Article 4 (Changes to Purpose of Use)
The Company may change the purpose of use of personal information only when reasonably deemed to be related to the purpose before the change. When the purpose of use is changed, the Company shall notify Users or publish the changed purpose on this Service by the method prescribed by the Company.
Article 5 (Disclosure of Personal Information to Third Parties)
The Company will not provide personal information to third parties without obtaining prior consent from Users, except in the following cases. However, this excludes cases permitted by the Act on the Protection of Personal Information and other laws: (1) When it is necessary for the protection of human life, body, or property, and it is difficult to obtain consent from the individual; (2) When it is particularly necessary for improving public health or promoting the sound growth of children, and it is difficult to obtain consent from the individual; (3) When it is necessary for a national agency, local government, or a person entrusted thereby to execute affairs prescribed by law, and obtaining consent from the individual would impede the execution of such affairs; (4) When the following matters have been notified or published in advance, and the Company has filed a notification with the Personal Information Protection Commission.
Article 6 (Disclosure of Personal Information)
When requested by an individual to disclose personal information, the Company shall disclose such information to the individual without delay. However, the Company may choose not to disclose all or part of the information if disclosure would fall under any of the following, and the Company shall notify the individual of such decision without delay: (1) When it may harm the life, body, property, or other rights or interests of the individual or a third party; (2) When it may significantly impede the proper implementation of the Company's business; (3) When it would violate other laws. A fee of 1,000 yen per case will be charged for disclosing personal information.
Article 7 (Correction and Deletion of Personal Information)
Users may request the Company to correct, add, or delete (hereinafter referred to as 'Correction, etc.') their personal information held by the Company if such information is incorrect, through the procedures prescribed by the Company. If the Company receives a request from a User as described in the preceding paragraph and determines that it is necessary to respond to the request, the Company shall make such Correction, etc. of the personal information without delay. The Company shall notify the User without delay when it has made Correction, etc. based on the provisions of the preceding paragraph, or when it has decided not to make Correction, etc.
Article 8 (Suspension of Use of Personal Information)
If an individual requests suspension or deletion of use of their personal information (hereinafter referred to as 'Suspension of Use, etc.') on the grounds that the personal information is being handled beyond the scope of the purpose of use or that it was obtained by fraudulent means, the Company shall conduct necessary investigation without delay. Based on the results of the investigation in the preceding paragraph, if it is determined necessary to respond to the request, the Company shall suspend the use of the personal information without delay. The Company shall notify the User without delay when it has suspended the use based on the provisions of the preceding paragraph, or when it has decided not to suspend the use.
Article 9 (Changes to Privacy Policy)
The content of this Policy may be changed without notice to Users, except for matters otherwise specified in laws or this Policy. Unless otherwise specified by the Company, the changed Privacy Policy shall take effect when posted on this Service.
